Woven wire mesh for filters is made by braiding warp wires with weft wires. With braiding, the weft wires are nailed tightly to each other. This results in an opaque wire fabric with zero cells. At the same time, in the volume of the filter mesh web, there are differently oriented channels between the wires that allow gas or liquid to pass through the mesh. Filter meshes are characterized by the number of warp and weft wires per 1 dm. and the diameters of the warp and weft wires.
Stainless steel filter meshes are used for filtering, dehydrating and drying solutions, cleaning air and gases. This determines their wide application in the chemical industry, water supply and other industries. The meshes are made of high - alloy wire, steel grade AISI304, AISI316, AISI321 or similar.
